Lime rotary kiln has many advantages in the processing of lime. It is also called lime kiln and is a highly professional calcination equipment. Its main advantages include large production capacity, noiseless work, low comprehensive energy consumption, etc.

How Does Quicklime Calcination Rotary Kiln Work?

 

 

1. The raw material for producing lime is a natural calcium carbonate (commonly known as limestone). The lime rotary kiln is a continuous rotary kiln where calcines limestone at high temperature to be produced into lime (CaO).

2. The rotary kiln is composed of cylinder, supporting device, supporting device with retaining wheel, transmission device, movable kiln head, kiln tail sealing device, burner and other components.

3. The cylinder of the lime rotary kiln is made of steel plate, and the cylinder is inlaid with refractory lining, and has a specified slope with the horizontal line. It is supported by three (or more) wheel belts on the supporting device of each block.

4. A large gear ring is fixed on the span cylinder near the wheel belt at the feeding end with a tangential spring plate, and a small gear is meshed with it. During normal operation, the main drive motor transmits power to the open gear unit through the main reducer to drive the rotary kiln, and materials enter the kiln for calcination from the kiln tail (the high end of the cylinder).

5. Due to the tilt and slow rotation of the cylinder, the material rolls both in the circumferential direction and moves along the axial direction (from the high end to the low end), and continues to complete its process. Finally, the generated clinker enters the cooler for cooling through the kiln head cover.The flame generated by fuel combustion is injected into the kiln from the kiln head, and the waste gas generated by combustion is exported from the kiln tail after exchanging with materials.
