Material Introduction

UNS N06625 Alloy pipe (DIN 2.4856 alloy pipe) is a nickel-base alloy pipe, density is 8.44g/cm³, melting point is 1290~1340℃(2354~2444℉), is used for its high strength, excellent fabricability, and outstanding corrosion resistance, the service temperatures is -200~400℃(-328~752℉).


The material properties and application places.

Strength of UNS N06625 alloy pipe is derived from the stiffening effect of molybdenum and columbium on its nickel-chromium matrix, thus precipitation-hardening treatments are not required. This combination of elements also is responsible for superior resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments of unusual severity as well as to high temperature effects such as oxidation and carburization. It has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and erosion in chloride medium. It has good resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and so on.

The outstanding and versatile corrosion resistance of UNS N06625 Alloy pipe used in the wide range of temperatures and high pressure, it’s the primary reason for its wide acceptance in the oil and chemical processing field. Because of its easier used, for example, in thinner-walled tubing and pipeline than possible with other materials, thus improving resistance offered by UNS N06625 alloy pipe are widely used in reaction vessels, distillation columns, heat exchangers, transfer pipeline…
